Two San Francisco 49ers Stars Escape Assault Rifle-Wheel Robbers After NFL Game

Two San Francisco 49ers players outran two assault-rifle wielding gunmen after they were held at gunpoint outside a club.

Reuben Foster and Ray-Ray Armstrong, who are both linebackers for the team, were leaving the Love and Propaganda club in San Francisco when they were confronted by two men in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to Misson Local, Foster noticed a white Audi with tinted windows lingering outside of the club which made him feel uneasy.

A statement from the 49ers issued to The Athletics writer David Lombardi said: ‘We are aware of the reports regarding the robbery and are very thankful no one was harmed. Reuben and Ray-Ray have been, and will continue to be, cooperative with any further police investigation.’

The incident occurred after the 49ers lost a game against Washington’s Red Skins at the FedExField, Maryland, on Sunday.

Foster was on the bench during the game after suffering an ankle sprain during the season’s opening.

The team’s next game will be at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
